The British International School, Chennai (“TBISC”) was founded in the year 2005 with the aim of providing an international standard of education, from Reception to Year 12, following the British curriculum.
Learning will be investigative and creative and children will be given every opportunity, to develop academically, physically and artistically with a sense of respect and strong set of values.
Working closely with the parents, we will ensure that every child receives the support and encouragement, needed to be a happy, confident and motivated learner. All children will be encouraged to set goals, strive hard and believe in their own ability.
TBISC is an Independent International Educational Centre recognized by the Board of London Examinations, United Kingdom as a Registered Participating Institution Centre with Edexcel International London Examinations for IGCSE and GCE (‘AS’ and ‘A' level) examinations.
In the wake of globalization parents are aiming at sending their children overseas for pursuing higher studies. An ‘A' level certificate bestowed by Edexcel International of the London University promises an easy passage to United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, United States of America and many other European countries. At that time, there was hardly any school in Chennai following the curriculum and examination of the London University. To satisfy the aspirations of ambitious parents, TBISC was founded in Chennai.
