Student Perspective about life at TBISC

Madhumitha Muralidharan | ‘A’ Level, Class of 2017

TBISC is the definition of happiness; its positive and vibrant atmosphere makes us all love coming to school and ensures that we experience the beauty of learning and the power of knowledge. Every day at TBISC is made extremely lively and entertaining – celebrations, interesting extracurricular activities, life skill programs, and guest speakers are just a few examples of what makes the TBISC experience so amazing. The love, care and attention that we students in TBISC get make us more than just a school; it makes us family.

We students have a massive amount of respect and gratitude for our teachers and all they do for us! I have been in TBISC for more than six years now, and they have changed me for the better. TBISC is a second home to me and I cannot thank them all enough for everything they have done for me. TBISC has a huge place in my heart and I am so honoured to be a part of this amazing school!

Da Vonte Ponnusamy | ‘A’ Level, Class of 2017

The school offers almost one to one attention in every subject, giving students the attention they require to excel beyond all expectations. Students can work at their own pace, either an accelerated one or a slightly slower paced one. The teachers here at TBISC are so friendly and patient that I often forget they are my teachers and talk to them as I talk to friends or family members. In large schools, it is very easy to fade into the background and be one of many. At TBISC, you cannot even consider doing that.

You interact with every student in every grade on a very regular basis. The younger students can learn from the older students as role models, and the older students can learn how to be a kid from the younger students. TBISC provides a nurturing environment that caters to either a student’s need to excel, or to help a new student become accustomed to their new environment very easily. It is almost as if TBISC is a kindergarten for teenagers!

Student Testimonials

I was a student of TBISC for 8 years – 2007 to 2015, and my precious memories in this school cannot be described in words. Nevertheless, I would like to share a brief part of my experience being in TBISC. I am from Japan and when I came to TBISC, I could not read or write English. I struggled a lot. With the help of my teachers, I was able to catch up. Years passed and by the time I was in High School, I discovered my favourite subject, and this would not have been possible if not for TBISC. Additionally, I thank the Principal and all the teachers who took great effort in teaching us the internationally acclaimed ‘A’ levels and I sincerely believe that TBISC has been successful in doing so. Unlike many other schools, TBISC aims to develop creativity and ingenuity in the minds of students. And, I believe that this has been a major factor in TBISC’s success. When I came to this school, I was a very mischievous boy. But, over time, I look back at my past and I am thankful to TBISC. It is this school that has shaped me into what I am today and this school changed my life. I am very proud to be an alumni of this school! I am currently pursuing my UG in Engineering at Cambridge Unviersity.
Kiseki Hirakawa | (Class of 2015)

I met many people from different countries and cultures at TBISC. It was a great place for students as the small class sizes promoted interaction and thus made it a lot more memorable than a usual class. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Biomedical Engineering in Purdue University. Shan, the hardware geek, loves tearing apart anything that guzzles electricity to find out what makes it tick. Easily amused about arcane electronics and irrational numbers that wouldn’t warrant a second glance from most. Currently works as an electrical engineer at Subnero. Hi, I am Raksshanaa from Sri Lanka and I completed my IGCSE with TBISC in the year 2013. Being with TBISC was a wonderful experience. TBISC is a disciplined school with well qualified teachers. I found it very easy to study as the teachers were very helpful. Their support and guidance helped me achieve good marks including an ‘A’ grade in Mathematics! I had a memorable time at TBISC!.
Raksshanaa Ganeshamoorthy | (Class of 2013)

My two years at TBISC was a good experience. I am grateful to have had teachers who were helpful when I needed help with my studies. I also made many great friends who supported me during my journey. All the activities and celebrations planned by the school were a memorable and an unforgettable experience for me. I would like to thank the school for giving me a great opportunity to be part of the school and contributing in different ways. I am currently pursuing my Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy in Curtin University, Perth, Australia. It is a four year course and I am looking forward to working as an Occupational Therapist in hospitals to help disabled patients. I am proud to be a TBISC Alumni!
Divya Dharini Kumanan | (Class of 2016)

I joined TBISC in Grade 10 (IGCSE) and I was new to the Edexcel syllabus. The teachers at TBISC patiently taught me the lessons I had missed out in Grade 9. I did well in IGCSE and AS level. TBISC is responsible for the good grades I have achieved in IGCSE and AS Level. Thanks TBISC! In my opinion what made this school special was the bond we shared with one another. Project day and the variety of competitions held in school helped me develop my creativity and presentation skills. The school not only focuses on academics but strives for the overall development of their pupils. I loved being a part of the school band ‘Purple Waves’ and taking part in the school’s festival celebrations along with my friends as well. I will cherish these memories forever!
Sree Sruthi Ramasubramanian | (Class of 2016)

My experience at TBISC has been nothing short of enlightening. This school has taught me something more valuable than a degree could ever teach me. I discovered myself in this school. I was encouraged to be my real self and I will carry that throughout my life. I feel proud to be a part of this esteemed school and I will forever be grateful to the faculty and the respected Principal that helped make me into the person I am today!
Subhikkshapriya Srinivasan | (Class of 2016)

I am Nishanth.T, 16 years old and I did my 9th and 10th grade (IGCSE) here at TBISC. Initially, I was shy and reserved but as days went by I became very comfortable here. I participated in all activities including MUN! TBISC tapped my potential and made me realise my capabilities and now I am a focused, confident individual who feels he can take on the world. My thanks to the Principal and staff for building up my confidence and guiding me to perform well in my academics!

Parent Testimonials

In my son’s class, the small number of students enabled the qualified and well-trained teachers to impart the curriculum in depth and with more focus. All the teachers answered all my son’s doubts clearly and immediately, and hence his knowledge deepened in all the subjects. All the students are well-disciplined and have a good attitude of helping each other. My special appreciation to the Principal for her guidance for my son’s university application procedure. All the experiences in TBISC will be another beginning for further success in my son’s future.
Takeko Hirakawa | Parent of Kiseki Hirakawa (Class of 2015)

The excellent scores Madhu achieved in IGCSE would not have been possible without the dedication and the excellence in teaching in each of her subjects by her teachers and the encouragement and support of the Principal. The school is almost like a second home to both Madhu and Ashwin and I am glad I made the right choice in 2010 when we came back from the UK after discussions with the late Mr. Palaniappan Ramasamy. Glad to see his far reaching vision and legacy being carried on. Thanks once again for all the help.
Lakshminarayanan Muralidharan | Parent of Ashwin and Madhumitha (currently at TBISC as of 2016)

We would like to place on record our appreciation of the high standards of teaching that your school provides for students preparing for the UK board examinations. The dedicated efforts of you and your team have made it possible for our daughter Kavitha to obtain three ‘A’ grades which was instrumental in her securing admission and scholarship at the University of Southampton.
Kishor & Radha Arur | Parents of Kavitha Arur (Class of 2008)

Corrie has learnt a great deal from her short time at the school which we are sure will help her on her return to the UK.
Jackson Levrier | Father of Corrie Jackson Levrier (Class of 2008)

I would like to take the opportunity to thank the Principal and everyone at TBISC for giving my daughter (Jessica John Prabakar, 10th Grade) so many wonderful opportunities during her school years. She has achieved her personal targets whilst enjoying learning through the dedicated teaching staff at TBISC. Your school provides so many opportunities and is very inclusive to all children. The progress in my daughter has been amazing and we are amazed by how much she has learnt already. She has grown socially and academically. She has loved TBISC and fully involved herself in all activities, but unfortunately now she is moving to Malaysia and definitely she will miss attending TBISC. I would also like to convey our special thanks to Mrs. Rama Ramasamy with all my heart for her continuous support extended to us. Once again thank you and all the staff of TBSIC for their efforts over the years.
John Prabakar | Father of Jessica J.P. (Class of 2016)
